Savagnin grapes are taken from two different terroirs. The first has a surface red marl at the bottom of the parcel, which alsoĀ covers a mass of fallen dolomitic rocks at the top of the parcel. The second has much deeper red marl covering a mass ofĀ fallen limestone mixed with silt. The taste in the glass is bruised apples, fresh walnut, vanilla and caramel, and amazingĀ aromas of fresh curry powder with fenugreek to the fore. It is a baby vin jaune with a highly developed style.
This wine would pair very well with Challerhocker.
