CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 'OF A' BOARD

CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW 'OF A' BOARD

On the eve of the Chelsea Flower Show we are delighted to introduce our board inspired by this this years theme of hope, resilience, biodiversity, and the transformative power of gardens, with designs highlighting personal empowerment, sensory experiences, and nature’s restorative benefits.

LA FROMAGERIE was delighted to host OF A, one of this year’s exhibitors, for a special event introducing their installation.
OF A GARDEN: SLOW DREAM
OF A GARDEN is a new type of garden. Landscape reimagined as a living object. A fragment of nature brought indoors as sculpture and microcosmos.
Slow Dream is the concept for this year's installation, imagining the garden as a territory in formation, drawn from somewhere both familiar and unknown. Shaped by cycles of burning, growth and renewal, blackened forms evoke volcanic landscapes. A dark botanical palette creates a dreamlike atmosphere

What is a plant, if not a slow imagination of place?
Created by OF A, in collaboration with floral artists Wagner Kreusch and Frida Kim.

If you do get chance to visit the Chelsea Flower Show do stop by and see the installation:

We have selected two Biodynamic wine pairings below

CHEESE

  • Valencay | Indre/Berry, Unpasteurised Goat's Milk (150g). A creamy, ash-coated truncated pyramid with a startling white pate. The texture is light and moussey and saltier than other Loire Valley goat’s cheeses. Young cheeses are delicate, and possess a floral, borderline citric taste, though after maturing the rind becomes drier and the taste levels out to a denser, more complex finish.

  • Valdecabras Miss Capra | Castile y Leon, Pasteurised Goat's Milk (175g). Close textured with a creamy melting pate, the rind has had a Roqueforti and charcoal dusting to give a dark, dusty coat. The aromas are fresh and mushroomy with a light vegetal hint that contributes to the flavours of the cheese within. The lactic acid and long, slow coagulation gives this pearly white cheese a fine freshness together with a woody farmhouse taste from the outer coat.

  • Fleur de Maquis |  Corsica, Pasteurised Ewe's Milk (300g).  A fresh cheese with a solid consistency, completely covered with aromatic herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and fresh sweet chillies. Classic, handmade, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture and a sweet nutty taste which becomes even more aromatic when allowed to mature – spurring edible blue moulding over the herbs – and the edges begin to melt.

  • Sao Jorge | Azores, Unpasteurised Cow's Milk (150g). One of the rare cow's milk cheeses of Portugal, from the beautiful island of São Jorge in the Atlantic archipelago of the Azores. The cheese has a lovely sharp nuttiness, redolent of cheddar, with a simmering undertone of the farm that extends the depth of flavour, and lends a persistent finish.

  • Picos Europe | Leon, Pasteurised Cow & Goat’s Milk (150g). Cow’s milk blue cheese with goat’s milk added at times of year when milk is more readily available, & covered in vine leaves. A rich & creamy cheese with well spread blue moulds & a tangy taste similar to Roquefort. Younger cheeses are more crumbly & less intense.

  • Box of Charcoal Biscuits for Cheese
